Duties
The teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated instruction that is aligned to the curriculum and learning standards. The teacher establishes a culture for learning within the classroom, ensuring that students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The teacher maintains regular communication with parent(s)/guardian(s) with regard to the instructional program and student progress.
Qualifications
Teachers must possess valid Illinois Educators Licensure with an endorsement to teach Middle School Language Arts. Experience with Google Suites is recommended. The teacher must also pass a physical exam, TB test, and criminal background check.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is set by the WLEA collective bargaining agreement which is active until 2027.
