Duties
The Preschool Teacher will serve as the Lead Teacher in a blended preschool classroom consisting of general education and special education students. The teacher will be responsible for both AM and PM sessions and will collaborate closely with the current Lead Teacher and Preschool team to ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and support.

Serve as Lead Teacher for one AM and one PM blended preschool sessions

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to Illinois Early Learning Standards

Design engaging, play-based learning experiences that support academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Collaborate closely with the other Preschool Lead Teacher to ensure program consistency and cohesion

Work in partnership with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families

Participate in IEP development and implementation as appropriate

Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring

Maintain strong communication with families

Create a safe, nurturing, structured classroom environment

Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented culture
Qualifications
Candidate must have or be working towards a PEL in Early Childhood Education AND one of the following:
- Early Childhood Special Education approval (Pre-Kindergarten only) OR
- Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement (Birth- Grade 2) OR
- Be eligible to obtain a Short-Term Emergency Approval for Early Childhood
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits will be based on the certified staff Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Additional Section Added Due to Demand!
Due to growing community interest and enrollment, we are excited to add an additional morning and afternoon section to our Preschool Program for the 2026–2027 school year. We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Preschool Teacher to serve as the Lead Teacher in our second section of blended PreK for 3- and 4-year-old learners.
Our district is proudly kid-centered — we make decisions based on student need and what is best for children. We are looking for an educator who shares that mindset and brings both heart and skill to early childhood education.
