The BCBA will be responsible for the design, creation, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of evidence-based district programs supporting non-academic student success indicators, such as social emotional learning programs and restorative behavioral practices. They will help to develop the skills, values, and attitudes necessary to build student success in their schools, homes, and the larger community. A BCBA provides research based training and assistance to the district to ensure all staff and administrators have the training and skills needed to effectively address student’s social emotional needs and behaviors that negatively impact the learning environment.
