Duties
The position is a High School Assistant Principal. Responsibilities of the Assistant Principal include assisting with daily school activities as well as promoting a vision of overall school and instructional improvement. Support the high school principal in instructional leadership, teacher evaluation, student attendance, and student discipline. Share evening supervision duties to support school events.
Qualifications
The individual must hold an Administrative Type 75 License with background in curriculum and instruction preferred. The individual should be a proactive, organized, and open-minded leader who works well with others, is visible in the school and community, is supportive of all academic and student activities, and is able to maintain a positive learning environment for students and teachers. The individual must be a motivator who has strong communication, collaboration, and listening skills and is able to use technology to assist in school improvement. The individual should have experience as a high school teacher. Administrative experience is preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is based on experience and is competitive for the area and position. The salary range is between $70,000-$80,000. Health Insurance and TRS are fully paid. The contract will be a 210 day administrative contract.
