Duties
RTHS is seeking a Special Services Coordinator for the 2026–2027 school year to oversee student service functions. This role focuses on supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and requires a deep understanding of special education.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary LEA in all IEP meetings.
- Oversee the coordination and support of state testing requirements.
- Ensure students with IEPs receive comprehensive academic, career, and social-emotional support through team collaboration.
- Address and manage students' social-emotional learning needs and career planning.
- Assist the student services team with scheduling and post-secondary plan development.
- Support the building principal with various administrative duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
RTHS is a comprehensive high school serving approximately 850 students and is staffed by four school counselors. This position works collaboratively within the student services team to ensure students with IEPs receive comprehensive academic, career, and social-emotional support.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive Salary (base salary for 25-26 Masters $49,255 $89,953), full paid TRS, full single health insurance and dental, and $20,000 Term Life Insurance. Counselors also work approximately additional 15 days in the summer for additional pay. There will also be additional stipends available for extracurriculars.
