Duties

The School Nurse delivers comprehensive health services to students and staff during school hours. This role bridges healthcare and education by ensuring students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification

• Some states require:

  • School Nurse Certification or Credential

  • State Department of Education endorsement

  • Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification
