Duties
Temporary Teacher’s Aide to support instruction in a general education elementary classroom. The aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students in a positive learning environment.

Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom management

Support individual students and small groups with academic tasks

Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources

Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as assigned

Promote positive behavior and model respectful communication

Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma/GED plus one of the following:
- An Associate of Arts (or higher) degree.
- 60 semester hours of college coursework.
- License: Must apply for the Paraprofessional License through the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS).
- Other Potential Requirements: Background check, fingerprinting, and specific school district requirements (e.g., CPR/first aid).

Salary is based on the DWEA 2023-2026 CBA
Additional Notes
We are a small rural school with one classroom per grade level. Class size averages 12 students.
