Speech Language Pathologist
Duties
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to Director of Student Services and building Principal.
- Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary special education team.
- Provide therapeutic services to speech-language impaired students and itinerant services to private school students with an Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Complete screenings and thorough assessments of language, articulation, voice and fluency disorders, and write reports to accompany evaluations.
- Consult and collaborate with parents, administrators, teachers, and other service providers to monitor student progress and develop appropriate programs and interventions for students with speech-language needs.
- Follow special education procedures, which include but is not limited to, participating in team and IEP meetings, writing and implementing IEP's, monitoring progress, and goal reporting.
- Collaboratively plan and participate in a school improvement program.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License required
- Speech-Language Impaired endorsement required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Experience with autism preferred
- Ability to provide therapy and diagnostics for students with language disabilities, articulation deficits, dysfluency, and voice disorders
