Duties

• Provides social and emotional support to Manteno Elementary students and building
• Works collaboratively with administration to create the building schedule
• Utilizes the Skyward system effectively
• Serves as a resource/support for Tier Two and Tier Three Response to Intervention services
• Facilitates Restorative Justice classroom practices
• Serves as a consult for teachers in conjunction with instructional coaches to implement strategies within the classroom utilizing the SBAT (Student Based Assistance Team) process
• Regularly communicates with parents, school staff, and students regarding grades, attendance, social emotional health, etc. to best meet the needs of all students
• Facilitates classroom social/emotional conversations and lessons
• Collaborates with the Special Education Department to offer support to students and special education programs
• Assists leadership in facilitating and coordinating local and state assessments
• Any other duties as administration deems necessary

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License 
• At least five (5) Years of Experience as a successful classroom teacher or support specialist, with a background in student interventions and ability to use data to inform both academic and bahavioral supports

Salary/Benefits

Salary and Benefits will be based on the negotiated salary agreement, once approved. Extra-duty stipends are also available. The 2025-2026 salary range began at $42,100.
