Duties
This teacher is responsible for developing, implementing, and
instructing a comprehensive computer science curriculum for students in Kindergarten
through 8th grade. This role requires fostering computational thinking, digital literacy,
and foundational programming skills in age-appropriate ways, progressing from visual,
block-based coding to text-based programming, and ensuring students are responsible
and ethical digital citizens.
Qualifications
Must hold a current, registered, Professional Educator
License/Endorsement (PEL). Background and experience with various instructional
techniques. Strong content knowledge in technology.
Salary/Benefits
As outlined in the Agreement Between The BOE LaSalle
Elementary School District 122 and The LaSalle Education Association (LEA).
