Champaign Unit 4 Schools Applications Manager - Data & Technology

Duties

The Applications Manager is responsible for the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and support of the District's enterprise applications, focusing on data integrity, user support, and system efficiency under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Data Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists with supporting the District's major enterprise applications with a focus on transportation routing systems, assessment databases, employee information systems, financial software, data warehouse, and other third-party data platforms, ensuring seamless data flow, system reliability, and effective support for District operations.

Ensures the accuracy, security, and compliance of all District data, validates data across systems, and ensures regulatory compliance.

Collaborates with internal departments and IT staff to resolve system issues, enhance data processes, and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a directly related field.

Minimum of two years’ experience using enterprise-level applications or information systems, experience in an educational setting preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of information systems, including, but not limited to, student information systems, transportation routing systems, assessment databases, employee information systems, financial software, and other third-party data platforms.

Demonstrated proficiency with database administration, configuration, optimization, custom queries, database language (SQL), and troubleshooting issues.

Experience with data integration, reporting tools, and cross-system data synchronization.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy.

Strong customer service and communication skills during phone, email, and in person interactions.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage projects with direction, and meet deadlines Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across departments.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language.

Salary/Benefits

The entry level base salary for this position is expected to be approximately $71,598, plus highly competitive benefits, including 100% Board-paid IMRF contributions and 100% Board-paid employee-only health, dental, and term life insurance. There is a minimal employee cost for vision insurance. Additional compensation above the base is offered for those with previous successful experience.  Questions about salaries or fringe benefits should be directed to the Human Resources Office.
