Fisher CUSD #1 is seeking an engaging, collaborative & staff-centered elementary principal for the 26-27 school year and beyond.

Instructional Leadership
-
Lead the implementation of a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum.

Analyze student achievement data to drive instruction and intervention strategies.

Facilitate professional development focused on continuous improvement.
-
Ensure that instructional practices reflect current research and best practices in elementary education.
School Climate
-
Establish a warm, inclusive, and safe environment for all students and staff.
-
Implement and oversee positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS).
-
Promote a culture of high expectations, school pride, and mutual respect.
-
Address student disciplinary matters with a focus on social-emotional growth.
Teacher & Student Support
-
Maintain high visibility throughout the school day to build relationships with staff and students.
-
Provide regular, meaningful feedback to teachers through formal and informal evaluations.

Advocate for the resources and tools necessary for teachers to succeed in the classroom.

Ensure the delivery of Special Education, 504's, RTI and other student services.
Staff Leadership & Development
-
Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality certified and non-certified staff.

Design and lead impactful in-service training and professional development days.
-
Mentor emerging leaders within the building and foster a collaborative team spirit.

Conduct fair and thorough staff evaluations in accordance with district policy.
Supervision of Operations & Procedures

Manage the school’s daily schedule to maximize instructional minutes.
-
Oversee the building budget, ensuring fiscally responsible use of local and grant funds.

Coordinate safety drills (fire, weather, intruder) and maintain an up-to-date crisis management plan.

Supervise the maintenance of the physical facility to ensure a clean and functional learning environment.
Family & Community Engagement
-
Maintain transparent and consistent communication with families via newsletters, social media, and digital platforms.

Partner with the PTO/PTA and community organizations to enhance school programming.
-
Host school events that celebrate student achievement and welcome family participation.
-
Act as a liaison between the school, families, and the broader community.
