Duties
Job Responsibilities: Provides innovative and creative ideas, commitment to STEM education, and an overall passion for project-based, problem-based learning with real-world application. Creates an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empowers students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills. Provides classroom instruction using Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses. Ensures all students acquire the course-level objectives set forth in the National PLTW Curriculum and Kenilworth School District #38 priority standards.

- Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning
- Provides responsive, rigorous, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful
- Participates in collaborative curriculum design
- Creates a positive classroom environment
- Exhibits flexibility, initiative, and creativity
- Possesses strong classroom management skills
- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Attends PLTW Core Trainings over the summer in order to develop the skills and tools needed to inspire students
- Leads the planning, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of the STEM program
- Coordinates equipment, supplies, and materials for the PLTW program
- Collaborates with the Principal, Chief Operating Officer, and Applied Arts team to plan, organize, and promote interdisciplinary STEM activities
- Expands learning opportunities through the integration of successful strategies and multiple technologies
Salary/Benefits
Commensurate with the current agreement between the District and the Kenilworth Educators Association
