Duties
Instructional Technology Coaching & Support
1. Coaches and supports teachers in the effective integration of instructional technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
2. Assists teachers in using technology to assess student learning, differentiate instruction, and provide rigorous, relevant learning experiences.
3. Models and co-teaches lessons that integrate digital tools, online resources, and blended learning strategies.
4. Introduces educators to research-based technology integration strategies that support improved instructional outcomes.
5. Identifies technology integration strengths and needs among instructional staff and provides targeted coaching and support.
STEAM Integration & Innovation
6. Supports districtwide STEAM instructional practices aligned to curriculum standards.
7. Collaborates with teachers to design interdisciplinary STEAM lessons and project- based learning experiences
8. Models coding, robotics, digital media, data analysis, and design-thinking strategies.
9. Promotes equitable access to STEAM learning experiences for all students.
Professional Learning & Collaboration
10. Plans and delivers professional development aligned to district goals, curriculum . priorities, and educator needs.
11. Collaborates with instructional staff, curriculum specialists, and administrators to support technology-enhanced instructional practices.
12. Evaluates the effectiveness of professional learning activities to determine impact on teacher practice and student learning.
13. Supports educators in accessing and utilizing online professional learning networks and digital collaboration tools.
Data, Instruction & School Improvement
14. Collaborates with instructional staff to use technology tools for data collection, analysis, and instructional decision-making.
15. Supports school improvement initiatives through goal setting, implementation, and instructional data analysis.
16. Works with district instructional leaders to evaluate and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences aligned to content and technology standards.
Digital Citizenship & Technology Integration
17. Models and promotes digital citizenship, including safe, legal, ethical, and responsible use of digital resources.
18. Engages in ongoing professional learning to remain current with emerging technologies and best practices aligned to ISTE Standards for Students and Teachers.
19. Supports implementation of district and school-level Educational Technology Plans.
Technical Coordination & Support
20. Collaborates with technical support staff to report and address instructional technology issues in a timely manner.
21. Assists with basic troubleshooting of common hardware, software, and connectivity issues within digital learning environments.
22. Supports deployment and integration of new instructional technologies across schools.
Professional Responsibilities
23. Reflects on professional practice to improve effectiveness in coaching and facilitating technology-enhanced instruction.
24. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all professional activities.
25. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
• Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Work requires regular movement between classrooms and district buildings.
Qualifications
State of Illinois fingerprinting and background check in compliance with state code and district policy requirements. A fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a check of the Statewide Sex Offender Database and Violent Offender Against Youth Database (when available) will be performed on the successful candidate as required by State law. Each newly hired employee must complete an Immigration and Naturalization Service Form as required by federal law.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education required.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Additional degree, coursework, or certification in instructional technology or computer science preferred.
• Educational technology certifications (e.g., ISTE, Google) preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology applications, digital learning platforms, and curriculum integration.
• Ability to coach, train, and support adult learners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Reliable transportation required to travel between district buildings.

Additional Notes
The Instructional Technology Coach (ITC) supports the professional growth and development of teachers through effective integration of instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning. The ITC works collaboratively with teachers, instructional leaders, and district staff to support planning, modeling, co-teaching, and professional learning focused on technology-enhanced instruction.
