The duties of this position are to be established by the building principal; Duties are not limited to those listed here.
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with state CTE standards and industry expectations.
- Develop students’ technical skills, career readiness, and employability skills through real-world applications.
- Integrate academic content with career-focused learning.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment, including labs and equipment.
- Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations.
- Supervise students in work-based learning opportunities, internships, or industry experiences as applicable.
- Support students in earning industry certifications and participating in career and technical student organizations (CTSOs).
- Use data to assess student performance and adjust instruction to support student growth.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Fulfill all required documentation, compliance, and program reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a CTE Endorsement,
or an Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) endorsed in Career and Technical Education,
or an Educator License with Stipulations for Career and Technical Education Provisional (ELS-CTEP)
Salary/Benefits
Annual Salary: With District Paid TRS Starting at $44,990 per the Mount Olive Education Association Contract (2024-2027).

This educator will deliver hands-on, career-focused instruction that prepares students with the technical skills, workplace competencies, and industry knowledge needed for future success.
