Duties

The duties of this position are to be established by the building principal; Duties are not limited to those listed here. 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with state CTE standards and industry expectations.
  • Develop students’ technical skills, career readiness, and employability skills through real-world applications.
  • Integrate academic content with career-focused learning.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment, including labs and equipment.
  • Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
    Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations.
  • Supervise students in work-based learning opportunities, internships, or industry experiences as applicable.
  • Support students in earning industry certifications and participating in career and technical student organizations (CTSOs).
  • Use data to assess student performance and adjust instruction to support student growth.
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
  • Fulfill all required documentation, compliance, and program reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a CTE Endorsement, 

or an Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) endorsed in Career and Technical Education,

or an Educator License with Stipulations for Career and Technical Education Provisional (ELS-CTEP)

Salary/Benefits

Annual Salary: With District Paid TRS Starting at $44,990 per the Mount Olive Education Association Contract (2024-2027).

We are seeking an innovative Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to join our instructional team. This educator will deliver hands-on, career-focused instruction that prepares students with the technical skills, workplace competencies, and industry knowledge needed for future success. This educator will guide learners in building technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and professional behaviors aligned with today’s workforce.  The ideal candidate is passionate about career readiness, skilled in project-based and real-world learning, and committed to empowering students to explore post.
