Duties

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Provides services related to student behavior management, including discipline, support, positive recognition, and other activities related to developing a positive student climate and culture.
2. Assists in the preparation, distribution, and education of student handbook.
3. Supervises student conduct within the school and oversees all disciplinary matters and procedures for students in grades 9-12 and maintains appropriate records.
4. Implements student behavior interventions.
5. Responds to daily discipline issues for students; determines appropriate consequences as necessary.
6. Administers the detention/suspension programs.
7. Investigate all harassment and bullying complaints.
8. Mediate student conflicts.
9. Administers and enforces school rules as they pertain to student attendance, overseeing student attendance procedures, records, rules, and truancy matters.
10. Communicates with parents, principal, SRO, student service team members, outside agencies, and other professionals regarding student behaviors and academics.
11. Supervises the faculty and student parking lots, and administers the parking pass system.
12. Assists in implementation of 504 plans, as appropriate.
13. Assists in the supervision of extra-school and extra-curricular activities including managing the social probation list program.
14. Assists in the supervision of student lunchrooms.
15. Assists in the process of evaluating certified and non-certified staff.
16. Assists in the oversight of the daily operations of Summer School.
17. Assists the Principal in the general administration of the school.
18. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Principal may assign.

Qualifications

1. Valid Teacher Certification
2. A Master's Degree, Type 75 Certificate.
3. At least three years of successful teaching experience.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary/Benefits

Annual base salary range $65,000- $74,000 based on background and experience.
