Duties
This individual will provide English Language Arts instruction to 6th and 7th-grade students and deliver Response to Intervention (RtI) services throughout the school.
- Provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards for English Language Arts for grades 6 and 7.
- Deliver targeted RtI/MTSS literacy interventions to students across grade levels using data-driven instructional practices.
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the varying academic needs of individual students.
- Develop lesson plans and interventions based on student data, progress monitoring, and individual abilities.
- Utilize universal screeners, diagnostic tools, and progress monitoring assessments to inform instruction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of RtI interventions and student progress in accordance with ISBE guidelines.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration as part of the MTSS problem-solving process.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and instructional supports.
Qualifications
A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) is required for this position.
Salary/Benefits
Salary will be determined by experience and in accordance with the current Kings School teacher contract and associated salary schedule.
