Duties

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is seeking a Junior High English Teacher who can inspire a love of reading and writing while supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.  The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging learning environment.  This is a full-time position that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year. 

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English/Language Arts endorsement
• Knowledge of best practices in middle school English instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Please see attached current 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year).
