Duties
The Special Education and Student Support Coordinator (10 month) is primarily responsible for assisting District and building level administration with the development, implementation, facilitation, and monitoring of the District’s student outcomes, behaviors, processes and procedures related to providing specialized student services, and overseeing compliance with all IEP and 504 requirements that promote and support the education and achievement of students with disabilities.
- With the FJ Special Education Supervisor, manage all district special education meetings serving as the LEA.
- Work with staff to draft and revise Individualized Education Programs in compliance with federal and state regulations as needed.
- Research and suggest professional development for special education staff to attend annually to maintain accurate records, compliance, and procedures.
- Facilitate meetings and monitor the implementation of 504 plans to ensure accommodations meet student needs.
- Communicate documentation for 504 students with both parents and staff members including meeting reminders and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records for both IEP and 504 students including communication with parents and staff.
- Conduct beginning and end of the year meetings with special education staff regarding schedules, student placement, professional development, needs, and expectations.
- Coordinate the operational framework for Extended School Year (ESY), including transportation logistics, staffing matrices, and facility scheduling.
- Assist in creating annual schedules for paraprofessionals to meet student needs.
- Assist administration at CES with 5-8 discipline including daily incidents, parent communication, and supervision.
- Assist administration with supervision at evening events.
- Working 5 days after the end of school, and 5 days prior to the school year to ensure all special education needs are fulfilled.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary/Benefits
Salary will be set on the certified teacher schedule outlined in the CBA. In addition, the special education supervisor will receive a stipend that will be discussed based on experience.
