Agriculture Educator / CTE Vocational Educator

Duties

Jersey Community Unit District No. 100 is in search of a forward-thinking, innovative, CTE professional educator who is not only qualified but extremely excited to instruct students in innovative electricity and industrial technology. The successful candidate will know the following:
• Strong working knowledge of electrical components, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Knowledge of robotics fundamentals which provides an introduction to programming, terminology, problem solving, and critical thinking.
• Ability to understand the basics of residential wiring and how the National Electric Code is applied.
• An applied knowledge of home construction and residential maintenance techniques.
• Strong knowledge of computer repair, upgrading, programming, and computer networking

Courses that may be offered include: Agriculture, electrical, robotic, STEM, and technology courses which may include but are not limited to Agriculture, Industrial Orientation, Industrial Electronics 1, Industrial Electronics 2, Electricity, Robotics, and Mechatronics. The candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills, be self-directed, and be motivated.
Working collaboratively within professional learning communities to build curricula and establish common
assessments is required. Additionally, knowing data-driven, research-based pedagogical approaches to instructing and learning is strongly desired. Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RtI), new Illinois learning standards, technology integration, and methods of differentiation are necessary. Previous experience is preferred but would strongly consider a candidate with the necessary credentials without experience who is highly motivated, exceptional in disposition (caring, compassionate, patient, etc.), and extremely dedicated to the academic and social growth of all students.

The professional educator MUST possess a Professional Educator License endorsed Agriculture, CTE, or a Provisional CTE license.
