Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Principal of Hollywood Heights Alternative School Program
2. Assist the Director of Special Education with coordination of activities related to the identification, referral, and evaluation of children with potential disabilities
3. Assist the Director of Special Education with service delivery models for students with disabilities
4. Assist with special education personnel, programs, policies, and procedures
5. Assist in data collection regarding special education state reporting
6. Assist the Director of Special Education with policies and procedures for students with disabilities in regards to Standardized Assessments
7. Assist the Director in the oversight and compliance of Restraint and Time Out procedures, Certified Prevention Intervention, Homebound services for students, and the Extended School Year programs
8. Assist the Building Administrators with 504 Program development and compliance
9. Assist with Professional Development, curriculum development, and parenting programs
10. Assist IEP Coordinators with Building Level Concerns
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or Superintendent
Qualifications
1) A valid Illinois Professional Educator License with:
a) Administrative endorsement
b) Special Education Certification
2) Minimum of 5 years of special education teaching experience
3) Strong working knowledge of Special Education law, policies, and procedures.
4) A collaborative leader who possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
5) Demonstrated success working with people
Salary/Benefits
Category: Administration
Location: Hollywood Heights School
Work Year: 12 months (sick days, personal days, and vacation days)
Start Date: July 1st, 2026
Salary Range: ($80,000 to $120,000) Based on experience.
Benefits: Employee’s insurance paid by the District (health, life and dental)
