Learning and Development Lead (Organizational Development Lead #1959)

Duties

Reporting to the Director, the Learning and Development Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training and career development programs that support employee growth and organizational success. This role partners with department leaders to align learning initiatives with strategic goals, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.

  • Organizes and facilitates workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance employee skills.
  • Assesses staff competencies and identifies training needs to tailor development programs effectively.
  • Facilitates structured onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Develops and manages mentorship initiatives to support new staff integration.
  • Provides career pathing support to help employees plan and pursue advancement opportunities within the Agency.
  • Leads succession planning efforts to identify and prepare future organizational leaders.
  • Manages budgets for training and development initiatives.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of programs to ensure strong return on investment and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with department heads to align learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Communicates available training and development opportunities to staff clearly and consistently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
  • At least two (2) years experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management, or Human Resources.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and Instructional Design.
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to create, organize, and maintain detailed, accurate, and complete records.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong reconciliation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ??
  • ??Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education.
  • ???Experience in Project Management.?

$75,395 - $99,899
$75,395 - $124,402
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
