Duties
Job Summary:
Rochelle Middle School is seeking a student centered 8th Grade ELA teacher who is passionate about helping students grow as readers and writers. The ideal candidate builds strong relationships, creates an inclusive classroom environment and supports diverse learners.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and standards aligned ELA instruction
Support reading, writing, speaking and listening skill development
Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor progress
Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English learners and students with IEPs
Create a positive classroom culture with clear expectations and routines
Collaborate with grade level teams and communicate regularly with families
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Valid IL Professional Educator License with appropriate ELA endorsement (5-8 or 6-8)
Strong knowledge of ELA standards and effective instructional practices
