Chemistry and Physics Teacher (2026-2027)

Duties

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and knowledgeable educator to join our high school science department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in both Chemistry and Physics, inspiring students to explore the principles that govern the physical world. This role involves developing rigorous, hands-on curricula, managing a science lab, and collaborating with colleagues to promote STEM literacy across the school.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Valid state teaching certification/license in  Chemistry, and/or Physics (or eligibility for certification).

  • Demonstrated content mastery in both Chemistry and Physics.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Must pass all required background checks.

 

Salary/Benefits

All salary and benefits are per the collective bargaining agreement.
