Position Overview
Pleasant Hill Elementary is seeking a passionate and qualified teacher for the Fifth Grade. The teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and effective learning environment, delivering lessons aligned with state standards, and fostering a culture of academic excellence. We are looking for an individual who is committed to student growth and development and who can work collaboratively with a team of dedicated and passionate educators.
Responsibilities
- Teach ELA, Math, Science, & Social Studies to students in Fifth Grade in accordance with Illinois state standards and district guidelines.
- Develop, plan, and deliver engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on academic performance.
- Manage classroom behavior in a positive and supportive manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents/guardians to ensure academic success.
- Participate in professional development activities and staff meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for grades, attendance, and student behavior.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed to teach elementary education.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are based on the candidates' education and experience as stated in the Pleasant Hill District #69 negotiated collective bargaining agreement. The CBA is posted on the district's website at www.phill69.com.
