Duties

Technical Skills

  • Provides clerical support to program supervisors
  • Types and proofreads reports and correspondence and prepares for dissemination as directed by program supervisor
  • Maintains files, records and directories
  • Monitors student files, returning drop files to resident districts annually
  • Copies and distributes materials
  • Communicates with staff, parents and district staff to schedule meetings and appointments or relay pertinent information as requested
  • Takes clear, concise messages for program supervisor, prioritizes and relays messages from parents, staff and district personnel
  • Prepares materials for department meetings and workshops
  • Creates requisitions and enters information into treasurer’s office system, sends POs
  • Monitors and tracks program budget accounts when requested by program supervisor
  • Processes paperwork to reimburse staff for travel expenses and internal substitute expenses
  • Tracks and orders supplies used by program staff

Qualifications

High School Diploma
Computer knowledge
Knowledge in operation of office equipment
Organizational and communication skills

Salary

• Employees are paid based on salary schedule provided in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• 12 month employees are paid their annual salary twice a month on a 12 month basis.
• Payroll is semi-monthly with pay dates generally on the 15th and 30th of the month.
• First paycheck is paper. All of the following paychecks are via direct deposit.

Life Insurance • $15,000 value at no cost to full-time employees

Pension System
 IMRF is 4.5% for qualifying employees, with voluntary non-tax deferred option.

403b Retirement Plan
• All employees are eligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement plan. A 403(b) plan, also known as a tax-sheltered annuity, is a retirement plan for employees of public schools. Please see the Business Office
page on the SWCCCASE website for more information. Our plan is administered by the OMNI group.

Tuition Reimbursement
? A maximum of 12 hours of course work during any school year
? Up to $350 per credit hour for coursework leading to an initial special ed teaching license
? Up to $250 per credit hour for all other coursework

Sick Days • Please see the sick leave pages of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (11– 14 days of sick leave)
Personal Days ? 3 personal days each year- Requests must be made at least one week in advance. Unused days may be
surrendered for compensation ($120/day).

? A full-time employee is regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and is on the permanent payroll.
