Duties
CLASSIFICATION: Administrator (1.0 FTE)
REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days per year
Job Summary: Support the Administrative Team in the overall leadership and management of the school, helping to create a safe, orderly, and academically focused environment. This role involves assisting with instructional leadership, student discipline, staff supervision, school operations, and fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Part 1: Instructional Leadership
- Support curriculum development and instructional practices
- Assist in planning and delivering professional development
- Support intervention programs and RTI/MTSS processes
Part 2: Student Discipline, Management & Support
- Oversee student behavior and enforce the school’s code of conduct
- Investigate disciplinary incidents and implement consequences
- Promote positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS)
- Support conflict resolution among students
Part 3: Staff Supervision & Evaluation
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers
- Support teacher evaluation and mentoring programs
- Assist with staff recruitment, interviews, and onboarding
- Help foster a positive, professional school culture
Part 4: Facilities, Safety, & Operations
- Supervise arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess duties, as needed
- Assist in safety drills (fire, lockdown, etc.)
- Serve on or coordinate the school safety team
Part 5: Community & Public Relations
- Communicate with parents regarding discipline, academics, or concerns
- Attend and support school events, meetings, and functions
- Build partnerships with families and community organizations
- Help resolve concerns raised by parents, staff, or students
Part 6: Special Education & Support Services
- Attend or help coordinate IEP, 504, and eligibility meetings
- Support collaboration between general and special education staff
- Monitor implementation of accommodations and services
Part 7: School Culture & Climate
- Provide support and assistance based on the needs of the school, staff, or administrative team, as needed.
Part 8: Budgeting & Resource Management
- Provide support and assistance based on the needs of the school, staff, or administrative team, as needed.
Part 9: Strategic Planning & Accountability
- Provide support and assistance based on the needs of the school, staff, or administrative team, as needed.
Part 10: Board Relations
- Provide support and assistance based on the needs of the school, staff, or administrative team, as needed.
Part 11: Legal & Policy Compliance
- Provide support and assistance based on the needs of the school, staff, or administrative team, as needed.
ADMINISTRATIVE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
- Instructional Leadership
- Supports instructional leadership by helping to implement curriculum initiatives, monitor teaching practices, and promote high standards for student achievement.
- Student Discipline, Management & Support
- Oversees student discipline by enforcing school policies, managing behavior interventions, and fostering a positive and respectful school climate.
- Staff Supervision & Evaluation
- Supports staff supervision and evaluation by observing classroom instruction, providing constructive feedback, and assisting in professional development to promote continuous growth.
- Facilities, Safety, & Operations
- Supports facilities, safety, and operations by monitoring daily building safety, addressing maintenance concerns, and assisting with emergency preparedness.
- Community & Public Relations
- Fosters community and public relations by engaging with families, supporting school events, and promoting positive communication between the school and community.
- Special Education & Support Services
- Collaborates with special education staff and support services to ensure compliance, coordinates resources, and promotes inclusive learning environments for all students.
- School Culture & Climate
- Supports a positive school culture and climate by encouraging respectful behavior, promoting student engagement, and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Building Administrator/Dean of Students position is projected to be a 190-day position during the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS:
- Standard IL Teaching Licensure with a minimum of four (4) years of full-time teaching experience in a certified position within a state-accredited private/public school setting is required.
- An IL Type 75 Administrative License is required, or the individual must be actively seeking this license through an accredited Principal Prep program.
- An ISBE Teacher Evaluator approval is required. Completion of required training within the 1st year of employment is required.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, parents, staff, administration and respective stakeholders.
- Must be willing to maintain appearance and professionalism assigned to duties and responsibilities.
Salary/Benefits

The Building Administrator/Dean of Students position is projected to be a 190-day position during the 2025-2026 school year.
SALARY AND COMPENSATION
Annual Salary Range of $60,000 to $64,600 for 190 days and access to all District-paid benefits including TRS, life insurance, and group health insurance.
