Overview:
The Black Hawk Area Special Education District is seeking a passionate and experienced Instructional Coach to support students and staff across the district. The role of the Instructional Coach is to build teacher capacity and their understanding of instructional practices as related to Illinois Learning Standards and Data Driven Instruction. He/she ensures that district adopted curriculum materials are being implemented with fidelity and that staff and students are receiving instruction based on best practices in assessment, instruction, and classroom management. He/she works with the BHASED administration (Director, Principals, Assistant Principals, and SPED Coordinators) to ensure that data-driven instruction is being practiced, while promoting reflection, guidance, and structure where needed; and focusing on strengths, collaboration, and common issues of concern. The Instructional Coach is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and providing feedback to teachers. This is NOT a supervisory position and DOES NOT include evaluation of colleagues.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching, with a record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have exceptional needs. Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and Benefits: $49,420 – $75,974 (BHASED CBA with Salary Range and Benefits); Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. TRS position.
