Duties
Instructional Support
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support student learning outcomes through coaching cycles and professional development.
- Implement Student-Centered Coaching or Cognitive Coaching strategies to support teachers in meeting student needs (professional development available for candidates without prior experience).
Professional Development
- Design and deliver targeted professional development aligned with the District Strategic Plan and school improvement goals.
- Create instructional resources and training materials to assist teachers in fostering student growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including training in Student-Centered Coaching or Cognitive Coaching.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with teachers and administrators for curriculum planning, instructional support, and data analysis to improve student growth and achievement.
- Support educators in analyzing student data and assessment results to guide instruction and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate closely with administrators to support their vision and school improvement needs.
Qualifications
Position begins with the 2025-2026 school year.
- Valid teaching license in Illinois.
- Minimum of at least 5 years of teaching experience (middle school or high school level preferred)
- Expertise in student-centered and/or cognitive coaching, or a willingness to participate in professional development to develop these skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing student data to drive instructional decisions.
- Ability to integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
