Duties
District 27 is searching for an enthusiastic, child-centered educator to serve as a special education teacher at Shabonee School. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three schools, educating students to succeed in a changing world.
Teachers in School District 27 are expected to:
- implement Board approved curriculum;
- uphold District policies and procedures;
- maintain a record of dependable attendance and punctuality;
- provide professional support to all staff members;
- maintain respectful, professional, and ethical behavior with colleagues, administrators, parents, and students; and
- dress in a manner befitting a professional person.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess a valid IL PEL with an LBS1 endorsement. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of prior classroom experience.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits for this position are covered by the District 27 Negotiated Agreement between the Board of Education and the Teachers Association. Salary will be determined based on experience and level of education. Multiple medical benefit plans are available to employees and are considered exemplary as compared to other districts.
