Ensures students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment in accordance with state and federal law Coordinate compliance with ISBE regulations and mandates, including IEP Compliance and implementation, maintaining accurate records, and sharing new information. Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, attend, facilitate, and participate in stakeholder and Administrative meetings, and serve as a liaison between school staff, students and administrators Evaluates achievement and placement of students in SASED Programming Evaluates, in conjunction Program Coordinators and Assistant Director, the total special education program. Assesses student needs and recommends and monitors student support program ensuring equitable opportunity for success for all students Collect and analyze accurate and current data to inform program improvement plans and ensure program efficacy ?Assist in the development and implementation of administrative duties related to budget preparation and management, classroom assignments, board reports, staffing patterns, teaching and staff assignments, schedules, assistive technology, master scheduling, Assist with testing accommodations and alternate testing as assigned. Recruit, hire, and retain highly qualified non certified staff in all areas as designated. Assist with and ensure the repair, maintenance, and inventory of all department equipment and supplies Assist with coordination and supervise ESY Programs. Assist with and oversee all professional development opportunities for all staff as designated. Maintain knowledge of current research and best practices in education through professional reading, memberships Coordinate and evaluate program, classroom, and 1:1 teacher assistants and medical assistants. Oversee and coordinate sub needs for non-certified staff Attend and facilitate all SASED Individual Education Plan Meetings and take notes as needed. Oversee and provide leadership, mentoring, and necessary support to ensure IEP compliance. Conduct the preparation and implementation of facilitated IEP’s, including annual reviews, re-evaluations, initial evaluations, and other meetings as necessary compliance follow-up documentation and reports in a timely manner. Provide orientation programs for new students. Monitor and assist with student transportation as needed.
