Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
  • Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations
  • Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors
  • Prepares, formulates, and compiles data used in spreadsheets.
  • Prepares reports of information contained in statistical, accounting, financial and programmatic records for review and use by the Operations Department.
  • Operates computer, performing duties such as word processing, tracking and updating records on spreadsheets, database functions and other computer functions associated with the Operations Department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Three (3) years of clerical and secretarial work experience.
  • Two (2) years of business education training may be substituted for up to one year of experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and spreadsheet software applications.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours

Physical Requirements

  • The physical activity of position requires the ability to sit, stand, and stoop.
  • Must be able to hear well enough, with or without correction, to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Overview:
The maintenance special projects position is responsible for providing support to the Operations Department team members. This position requires someone who will be resourceful, detail oriented, well organized and a good problem solver while assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner.
