Duties
SMASE is seeking a Kindergarten to 2nd grade special education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Duties include providing individualized and group lessons, implementing accommodations, writing IEPs and supporting students with disabilities.
Qualifications
Professional Educator's License with an LBS1 endorsement
Salary/Benefits
Salary will be reflective of education and experience, with a base salary minimum of $44,027 . Additional benefits include board paid TRS, 90% board paid health insurance and life insurance.
Additional Notes
South Macoupin Association for Special Education provides special education services for Mt. Olive CUSD 5, Staunton CUSD 6, and Gillespie CUSD 7. Our teachers, related service providers and paraprofessionals work to educate students with disabilities in classrooms located in these school districts.
