Duties
- Facilitate student learning through lesson planning and quality
- Recommend to the Principal or designee supplies and materials needed for the
- Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and
- Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents/guardians that will be conducive to learning.
- Maintain and update accurate records as required by the State, District, and Building
- Attend required meetings and events.
- Stay current with developments in curriculum, instruction, and
- Coach or sponsor an extracurricular activity - required for non-tenured (Compensation - RBEA Collective Bargaining Agreement)
- Exhibit excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal
- Incorporate the Six Pillars of Character Counts:Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Professional Educator License (PEL) - Science
- Preferred endorsements in order: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Space Science,
Environmental Science, Zoology
- Multiple certifications preferred, but not
- Ability to communicate (written/verbal), make decisions, resolve conflict, and effectively work with staff, students, and administration
