Duties

The Paraprofessional at R.I.S.E. Academy plays a vital role in supporting students in grades 6-12 who require an alternative educational setting due to behavioral, social-emotional, or academic challenges. Working closely with teachers and staff, the Paraprofessional provides academic assistance, behavior support, and supervision to help students engage in learning and develop the skills necessary for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or 60+ college credit hours preferred.
• Paraprofessional Educator License (PEL) required or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working with at-risk youth, special education, or alternative education settings preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Regionally competitive salary: $17.00 (185 Day Contract)
