Duties
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full-time or part-time hearing itinerant teachers to serve south Vermilion County. Full-time or part-time permanent position (based on candidates desired work schedule) available for the 2026-27 school year.
The applicant must have a reliable vehicle to travel to multiple school sites. VASE has an educational audiologist and full time DHH teacher on staff for collaboration and consultation!
VASE offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for three years of promised services with the cooperative. Every three years, employees receive a $1,500 retention stipend. The Board of Education pays the health insurance premium monthly and provides a $25,000 life insurance policy.
VASE provides multiple opportunities for professional development including reimbursement for the cost of mileage, lodging, registration, and food.
Qualifications
Certification: Illinois Professional Educator License with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Endorsement
