Duties
- Supervise students while they board and disembark from the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor student behavior during transit, addressing any issues that may arise and promoting a respectful and positive atmosphere.
- Assist students with special needs as required, ensuring they receive the necessary support during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with bus drivers and school staff regarding any incidents or concerns related to student behavior or safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment on the bus, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay informed about safety procedures and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Must pass a background check and meet any other state or local requirements for working with children.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Central Office.
Salary/Benefits
Starting pay is $16.00/hour.
