Duties
The Hearing Itinerant Teacher supports students who require educational services due to hearing loss. The Hearing Itinerant Teacher acts as a resource and effectively advises a variety of staff and teams to identify students with hearing loss and to address individual student needs. The Hearing Itinerant Teacher addresses the communication, educational, and social/emotional needs of the student and provides guidance to the student’s family and school personnel.
Qualifications
Hold an IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special PreK-Age 21 Special Education Endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Salary/Benefits
Pay range from $42,411.00-$100,000 (full time). Benefits include: 205 day contract, Board Paid TRS, Health (BCBS), Vision, Dental and Life insurance options, 3 personal days and 14 sick days.
