Duties
*Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of the students in grades 4-8
*Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught
*Providing instruction in basic Spanish writing
*Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations
*Monitoring student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments
*Participating in parent/teacher conferences, formally twice a year (and also on an as-needed basis)
*Teaching students about the Spanish culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, state teaching certification, strong classroom management and instructional skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Notes
This position is within a small, parochial school where class sizes are limited and students have had previous exposure to the Spanish language. The staff collaborates frequently and functions as a family.
