Duties

• Develops and implements strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of special needs.
• Confers with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and professionals to develop individual educational plans designed to promote student educational, physical, and social development.
• Modifies the general education curriculum for special needs students based upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
• Ability to set clear expectations for student behavior by applying positive behavior supports and interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Illinois Certificates - LBS I required
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to function effectively as a member of the school's staff
• Such other requirements as the Board may establish
