Duties
Description: Full-time Special Education teacher for Highland Primary Transition Special Education Teacher. (Grades K-2)
Job Summary: Applicants must be willing to:
- Provide instruction and resource support in core academics and classroom management for students with IEPs.
- Plan and individualized lessons, differentiate instruction and deliver services to students with a variety of needs.
- Manage a caseload and write IEPs according to state and Highland CUSD5 guidelines, using on-line software.
- Conduct IEP meetings, including annual reviews, IEP reviews, etc.
- Complete quarterly progress reports on IEP goals.
- Work collaboratively with general education and SpEd classroom teachers to deliver services and meet students' needs.
- Collect, organize, and use data to drive decision-making for academics and behavior.
- Supervise and direct Program Assistants and Individual Care Aides.
- Engage in Professional Development opportunities, continue to support school improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Related Service Personnel and fellow teachers to support student needs and a collaborative school culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must meet requirements for reimbursement as an LBS I Endorsed Teacher.
