Duties
The ideal candidate is a dedicated and innovative music educator with a passion for teaching and inspiring young musicians. This position may involve teaching band/instrumental music, choir/vocal music, and music electives to secondary students. The teacher will work closely within a multi-teacher program to support the development of the music program.
Courses to be taught will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and areas of strength but may include:
- High School: Individual and small group lessons, band, choir, jazz band, pep band, and electives such as music theory, digital music production, and drama.
- Middle School: General music exploratory courses, individual and small group lessons, band, choir, jazz band, and drama.
Salary/Benefits
Regionally competitive; following the HBREA collective bargaining agreement
