Nestled in the heart of the Midwest (Champaign-Urbana) Next Generation School is an independent private school that looks towards the future of education while valuing the connections of the present. Like our small town community with big city amenities, we are looking for diverse, creative, and inspiring educators who want to explore a progressive curriculum and who enjoy teaching in a student-centered environment. The small school allows for personal connections with engaged students and team-oriented staff.
We are expanding our program and currently looking for an educator with English and Language Arts experience to join our excellent Middle School team next school year (2024-2025) and beyond. Candidates can look forward to the flexible Middle School curriculum which allows an educator to explore new means of teaching and learning in real time.
- Plan and teach English and Language Arts
- Develop innovative and creative lesson plans that engage students to achieve success
- Collaborate with the other English and Language Arts teachers
- Supervise lunch and breaks for middle school students
- Assist with the coordination of and participate in school activities and events
- Coordinate with the middle school teaching team and administration on student needs, wellness, curriculum, etc.
