Duties

  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and analyze hardware including, but not limited to:
    • iPads, MacBooks, iMacs, and Apple TVs
    • PC Desktops and Servers
    • IP Phones, Printers, Projectors, Document Cameras, and A/V equipment
    • Wireless Access Points and Network Devices
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain various software applications and updates
  • Administer user accounts for staff and students (Active Directory, Google Workspace, Apple School Manager, etc.)
  • Support educational software systems utilized by staff and students (Clever, SeeSaw, Schoology, Classkick, PowerSchool, etc.)
  • Administer devices as necessary using JAMF (mobile device management)
  • Provide quick, efficient, and courteous end-user support via Helpdesk ticketing and frequent site visits to all campus sites.
  • Support occasional off-hour events as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associates Degree, preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  (Proven, relevant experience may be considered)
  • Current industry-specific certifications are favorable
  • Confidential handling of sensitive information
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, self-motivate and manage time when working independently
  • Reliable transportation to travel between multiple buildings on a regular basis
  • Clear interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of hardware, software and networking

The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our teachers, students, and staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. The IT Support Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to respond to user inquiries, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and assist in maintaining and improving our IT systems.
