Job Summary:
The School-Based Technician performs a range of functions to help faculty and students with teaching and learning. The Building Based Technicians are stationed in the Media Centers of schools and they will work primarily with students. Responsibilities include: supporting the use of media and devices in the Media Center, ensuring that students have functioning technology for instruction, maintaining accurate records to manage the inventory of media and devices, and troubleshooting issues related to student and staff technology.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:
- Assists District personnel and students in the use of media and technology computers in order to benefit instructional programs.
- Assists in the maintenance of inventory records for media and technology assets.
- Assists users with problem solving by responding and resolving issues communicated through work orders and requests promptly.
- Maintains a commitment to improvements and learning by participating in technological opportunities.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks on classroom technology and assorted peripheral devices.
- Serves as a liaison between the district staff, principals, other administrators, and the technology department.
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community.
- Performs other duties of similar nature and level as assigned by the supervisor.
- Work Calendar:
- 9 month position
- Work hours: 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
