Qualifications
Candidates must: be licensed in the state of Illinois to teach Agriculture; have the ability to work well with administration, staff, students and parents; be a positive influence on students and staff; and have strong organizational skills.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting teacher salary for FY27 is $47,000 with an added bonus at the end of the year. Actual salary will depend on negotiated wages taking into consideration experience and education. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available. Stipends and extended days of the contract will be discussed during the interview process.

This position offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000! The Prairie Central Agricultural staff is award-winning and creates and maintains a positive environment for both students and their colleagues. The Ag department has a strong student-centered focus, dedicating time and energy on ensuring student success. Prairie Central completed a new wing to our Ag Facility that created 2 additional shop spaces, animal lab, small engines classroom, and additional classroom space.
