Duties
Special Education Paraprofessional will support elementary students with disabilities under the direction of a certificated special education teacher by modeling the necessary skills to perform assignments; following educational and specific behavioral plans; modeling appropriate behaviors and interactions with students and staff. Assist with maintaining accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and grades. Assist with monitoring/charting behavioral and instructional progress for the students; assist with maintaining behavioral management system for students; assist with establishing a varied environment which accommodates the differing ways that students learn. Work collaboratively with others to provide support to all students. Employees in this classification may receive a variety of assignments including classroom support, one-on-one, etc.
