Share: Print: Duties Maintain a positive classroom environment for up to 10 students with paraprofessional support. Ability to partner with multiple teacher assistants and collaborate within a multidisciplinary model in regards to instructional strategies, behavioral management, and team building Ability to create, implement and adapt developmentally based curriculum for students of varied ages, learning styles and ability levels Complete lesson plans for individual and group activities Teach multiple subjects in a classroom setting Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student Document quarterly progress as related to students’ IEPs Assess students' academic skills and determine their educational needs Provide a social-emotional learning environment Effectively communicate with and support parents/caregivers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in job-related area Illinois Professional Educator License LBS1 endorsement required Salary/Benefits Starting Salary for first year teacher $55,000 (10 months) with opportunity to earn additional ESY salary Experienced teachers salary commensurate with market pay We offer a complete benefits package that includes Medical, Dental.
