Duties
McNair Elementary School has an opening for a School Counselor/Student Support Specialist for the 2026-27 school year. This position involves working with elementary school students, staff, and families. The duties include, but are not limited to: classroom character lessons, small group and individual targeted counseling sessions, behavior management for schools and classrooms, overseeing/implementing 504 Plans related to social emotional needs, providing as-needed staff training with problem solving teams, and crisis management.
Qualifications
A current Illinois PEL with a School Counselor or School Social Worker Endorsement is required. Benefits include, but are not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as, paid sick and personal time off.
Salary/Benefits
Based on WEA Salary Schedule and will include pay for extended 5 extra days each school year. Benefits include, but are not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
