Then, our Blended Preschool Teacher position at Western Avenue Elementary may be right for you!
As a Blended Preschool Teacher you will create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth, establish effective rapport with pupils, motivate your students to skills, attitudes and needed provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with their ability, and establish relationships with parents and with other staff members.
To be successful in this position, you will teach District approved curriculum, develop lesson plans to create learning opportunities that area developmentally appropriate, evaluate students' needs and make appropriate referrals for additional support, develop, prepare, and organize instructional materials, demonstrate effective behavior management strategies, and work effectively with small groups or individual students.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position include a valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with an Early Childhood Education endorsement AND one of the following:
1) Early Childhood Special Education approval (Pre-Kindergarten only) OR
2) Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement (Birth- Grade 3) OR
3) Short-Term Emergency Approval for Early Childhood Special Education (Pre-Kindergarten only)
Salary/Benefits
